Today we spent the day shooting along the south coast of Maui. Our landing zone was in the middle of a pineapple field complete with the gnarliest red dirt that got me more filthy than trillz in a Vegas strip club.
Fucking caked with dirt head to toe. But deep down I loooooove this shit and wouldn’t trade it for the world. We shot some amazing stuff and I also learned some stuff about pineapples I didn’t know. Not that I knew jack shit about them before other than they’re delicious and hurt like a motherfucker if you get hit by one.
Pineapple plants only produce 3 pineapples per life cycle. It takes almost 2 years for the first crop to appear, and apparently its all sour and not very good. Then it’s 18 months between productions and the third, most delicious and last product is almost under ground (they start growing on top of the plant, see the pic of the Lil’ pineapple)
You probably don’t give a shit about fucking pineapples but now you know so embrace it. You probably didn’t learn anything else cooler today anyway.
Well, here’s today’s photos, enjoy you skeevy cuss’
